Landscape Construction Crew Members
Bentley Staffing is looking to hire Full-Time (Seasonal) Landscape Construction Crew Members for a well-established, locally-owned landscaping company. The ideal candidates must possess strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic to deliver high-quality workmanship. As a landscaper, you will play an important role in ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-maintained and visually appealing. By following your job duties carefully, you will help to create beautiful and well-maintained outdoor environments for your clients to enjoy. The position is seasonal, but there is also the possibility of winter snow removal work, which presents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate.
Start Date: To be determined
Shift: Monday – Friday 7.00 am – 4.30 am (approx 40 to 50 hour week)
Wage: Starting at $20.00 p/h, plus 4% vacation pay, paid weekly by direct deposit every Friday.
Duties:
– Spreading topsoil, laying sod, and planting a variety of different plants such as flowers, grass, shrubs, and trees. You will also be required to assist with the construction of landscapes and related structures.
– Cutting grass, raking leaves, fertilizing and watering lawns, weeding gardens, pruning shrubs and trees, and performing other maintenance duties as directed by your supervisor.
– Constructing landscaped environments, which may include planting trees, shrubs, lawns, installing fences, decks, patios, and other landscape structures as directed by your supervisor.
– Operating and maintaining power mowers, tractors, chainsaws, sod cutters, pruning saws, skid steers, mini-excavators, tampers, and other landscape maintenance equipment safely and efficiently.
– Performing other manual duties such as cleaning and maintaining landscaped environments to ensure that they remain in excellent condition.
Qualifications:
– Possession of a high school diploma is preferred.
– At least 1-3 years of practical experience in hardscaping/softscaping is preferred with another similar company
– Must be able to lift 50lb+ on a consistent basis.
– Should be physically fit and capable of performing strenuous and repetitive tasks such as tree, shrub, perennial planting/care, mulching, weeding, garden bed creation, etc.
– A positive problem-solving attitude is essential.
– A valid driver’s license is preferred, and a clean driver’s abstract is required.
– WHMIS certification is preferred, but we will provide training if necessary.
