Our client is hiring truss builders in Cobourg, Ontario, for a straight day shift. This job is perfect for someone with some carpentry experience who enjoys working with hand tools, has good stamina, and thrives in a team environment. The assignment will run for 4 months.

Start Date: Tuesday 2 September

Hours of Work: Monday to  Thursday – 6.00am to 3.30pm, Friday  – 6.00am to 2.30pm for a total of 44 Hours a week.

Rate of Pay: $20.00 p/h plus 4% vacation pay

Responsibilities:

» Picking orders
» Stacking lumber at saws
» Preparing and assembling pre-fabricated wood pieces
» Using hand tools and power tools
» Assisting with the movement of semi-finished and finished product

Requirements:

– Must have experience and be comfortable handling power tools
– Familiar with measurement tools in both metric and imperial systems
– Able to follow directions
– Able to work in a team
– Quality and detail-oriented
– Physically fit
– Safety conscious
– Framing experience is considered a strong asset
