Property Maintenance Grounds Crew

We are hiring a Property Maintenance Grounds Crew member to join an existing team for our Cobourg client. This full-time position runs until mid-December or possibly longer, depending on the candidate, as the ideal person would also assist with snow removal during the winter season. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has experience cutting lawns and caring for outdoor property areas.

START DATE:  Monday 8 September 

HOURS: Monday to Friday 7.00am to 5.00pm (40-50 hours a week)

RATE OF PAY: starts at $20.00 p/h – could be more depending on experience

 

DUTIES:

  • Cutting grass, trimming edges, pruning shrubs, fertilizing, weeding, mulching.
  • Raking, digging, moving soil, laying sod, and planting.
  • Operating safely with weed-eaters, leaf blowers, and various hand tools.
  • Fall property cleanup where needed.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be physically fit and have good stamina
  • Able to work through to mid-December
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the landscape maintenance/property maintenance industry
  • Able to operate rider mowers, push mowers, weed-eaters, leaf blowers, etc
  • Able to follow directions and work in a team environment
  • Able to lift to 25lbs comfortably
  • Valid G driver’s license preferred
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to work under tight deadlines
  • Good time keeper
