Construction General Labourer
We are currently seeking a hardworking, reliable Labourer for a busy company in the Cobourg, Ontario area. This position is full-time through and will go permanent for the right candidate. This role would be ideal for someone who has some minor carpentry experience.
Start Date: as soon as possible
Rate of Pay: $20.00 p/h plus 4% vacation pay paid weekly
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform work of various types and sizes under supervision of a supervisor.
- Must be able to use a tape measure and read in imperial measurement.
- Must be willing to work with your hands and lift up to 50lbs.
- Be willing to learn and take instruction from supervisors.
- Be courteous to others and take initiative to do tasks as assigned.
- Be able to follow instructions and follow job specifications.
- Be able to work independently and follow job specifications.
- Must be able to read English in order for you to understand job specifications and instructions given by supervisors.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively with others.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of basic hand tools such as hammer, wrench, screwdriver, pliers, etc., plus the ability to use measuring tape, tape measure, hand calipers, electronic measuring devices, etc., is required.
- Ability to work independently plus ability to solve practical problems such as working with his/her hands.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
