General Labourer Helper – Metal Fabrication

Join our client’s team in Port Hope as a General Manufacturing Labourer, where you will play a key role in the metal fabrication operations. You will operate machinery, assemble products, inspect finished goods, and help maintain a safe, organized workplace. This position is ideal for someone with previous metal fabrication experience, good physical stamina, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and tools according to production requirements
• Assemble components and products following specifications
• Perform manual tasks such as lifting, loading, and sorting materials
• Inspect products for defects and ensure quality standards are met
• Report issues or inconsistencies to supervisors
• Transport raw materials and finished goods within the facility
• Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
• Notify maintenance staff of equipment malfunctions
• Follow all workplace safety regulations and use PPE
• Keep work areas clean and organized
• Record production data and complete paperwork accurately

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• 2+ years of metal fabrication experience (required)
• 3–5 years of manufacturing/fabrication experience (preferred)
• HVLP paint experience is an asset
• Ability to safely operate tools and machinery
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn new skills and cross-train
• Punctuality and reliability are essential
