Associate Insurance Advisor

Bentley Staffing is hiring a full-time Associate Insurance Advisor for their client in Cobourg. In this role, you’ll support agency operations by selling and servicing personal insurance products (auto and home), while providing basic support for other lines. This role is ideal for someone with previous insurance or sales experience who thrives in a client-focused environment.

Salary: $50,000–$70,000 per year + commissions
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm

Responsibilities

  • Grow and service personal insurance portfolios (auto, home, etc.)
  • Advise clients on coverage options and recommend suitable policies
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell additional products and services
  • Conduct risk assessments and select policies in line with underwriting guidelines
  • Meet individual targets for service, sales, quality, and productivity
  • Address client inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate issues as needed
  • Handle payment processing and maintain organized records
  • Strict confidentiality regarding client financial and personal information is required
  • Direct client contact is a core part of the role
  • You may need your own vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and insurance
  • Employment is contingent on passing a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of sales, service, or related business experience (preferred)
  • General Insurance License (OTL) required; LLQP Life License is an asset
  • Knowledge of auto and property insurance products is an asset
  • Experience with sales techniques is preferred
  • Ability to meet provincial licensing and continuing education requirements
