Our client, a leading company in the plastics industry based in Cobourg, is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as entry-level machine operators. These positions are full-time roles with immediate start dates, offering an excellent pathway for those looking to gain experience in the manufacturing sector.

Start Date: Monday 25 August 

Shifts: 8 hours – must be flexible to work any shift – Day, Afternoon or Overnight

Wage: starting at $20.31 p/h   Premium for Afternoons: $0.70 and Nights: $0.90.   Lunch and breaks are paid.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manually move parts from machines
  • Inspect products for quality assurance
  • Clean and trim products as necessary
  • Label finished products
  • Pack and strap products securely
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Wear protective equipment following company policy

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Fluent English communication skills
  • At least one year of manufacturing experience
  • Technically inclined and able to learn new processes
  • Safety-conscious and able to follow company safety protocols
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent visual skills for quality inspection
  • Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs
  • CSA-approved safety shoes with a GREEN patch are required
