Human Resources Business Partner – Temporary till end of September

Are you passionate about people and organisational excellence? Bentley Staffing is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Cobourg manufacturing client on a full-time temporary basis until the end of September. Reporting to the HRBP Sr Manager, you will play a key role in recruiting, training, employee relations, compliance, and more.

*Start date: As soon as possible.*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster positive employee relations and resolve workplace issues alongside plant management.
  • Implement and uphold company policies consistently.
  • Generate human resource reports and oversee internal investigations.
  • Manage the recruitment process—from job postings and candidate sourcing to interviewing and onboarding.
  • Administer employment status changes and termination paperwork via our HR systems.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and conduct regular audits.
  • Serve as the on-site contact for corporate communications.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of HR experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS, timekeeping, and Applicant Tracking Systems (SuccessFactors, Dayforce).
  • Strong organisational, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
  • High level of confidentiality and proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Education/Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
  • HR designation is considered an asset.

**Additional Information:

  • This is a temporary position until the end of September, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.
  • The pay rate will be discussed during the interview process and will depend on experience.
  • Standard schedule: Monday to Friday, eight hours per day. Flexibility for alternate schedules may be required.
