Leasing & Marketing Manager

We are seeking a full-time energetic and motivated Leasing and Marketing Manager for our client in Kingston, Ontario who manages a large student residence. This position reports directly to the General Manager.  We are looking for someone who works well on their own as well as in a team environment.  In this role you will be supervising a team of 6 Leasing Agents.

The person for this role will be responsible for training and overseeing the onsite leasing and marketing functions and the direct sales efforts of the office.  The role is responsible for providing exceptional service to the residents, future residents, vendors and the corporate management team.  The chosen person will be busy generating new leads, assisting with resident relations, touring future residents and attending events to promote residential occupancy. This role is ideal for someone who is self-driven, has prior sales and leasing experience.

START DATE: as soon as possible

SALARY: $50,000 to $55,000 plus 10% bonus

HOURS: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm, but must also be flexible to accommodate leasing promotions or events. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervising a team of four full-time and part-time leasing and marketing agents
  • Complete lease/renewal paperwork to ensure completion to company standards
  • Ensure all data is entered into the system to track leasing activities
  • Review and audit lease files
  • Submit daily, weekly and monthly leasing/marketing reports as required
  • Track and evaluate advertising
  • Responsible for training and developing leasing personnel
  • Prepare annual and monthly marketing plans, leasing strategies and advertising proposals with assistance of the General Manager
  • Develop, implement and monitor resident contests/awards/leasing incentives
  • Maintain renters insurance is in compliance
  • Schedule and attend weekly external and on campus marketing events
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or greater – Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role an asset
  • Prior Sales experience preferred
  • Must be service orientated
  • Prior residential leasing experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must possess basic computer skills in a Windows environment
  • Able to take direction from supervisors
  • Flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
