Landscape Construction Superviser

On behalf of our client we are looking for a full-time Landscape Construction Supervisor based in Cobourg.

Start Date: early April

Shifts: Monday to Friday

Rate of Pay: to be discussed at interview dependent upon experience

Responsibilities:
Supervising the construction landscaping crew
Able to manage crews of 3 to 6 people
Coach, develop and train staff as required
Ensure Health and Safety policies and practices are being followed
Able to operate equipment for excavation and grading
Able to work long days outdoors

Requirements:
Must be physically fit
5 years or more experience supervising a team in construction landscaping
Strong knowledge of commercial and residential landscaping construction
Experience grading using a laser level
Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings and specifications
Experience installing natural stone (flag, armour, etc)
Experience installing interlock paving stone and precast retaining walls
Able to identify and plant trees and shrubs
Must have keen attention to detail
Excellent time management and communication skills
Clean Class DZ with driver’s abstract is required
Post-secondary Horticultural or Landscape Technician Certificate an asset
Experience in snowplowing is an asset
