
Commercial Landscape Construction Foreperson
We are seeking a Commercial Landscape Construction Foreperson who works well with others, takes pride in their work, and can deliver a high standard of workmanship in an efficient manner. The suitable candidate will be a motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors on a daily basis and is skilled in the operation of various landscape construction heavy equipment. The Foreperson will be responsible for a team of 2-5 people and will report directly to the Operations Manager / President. This is seasonal work; however, year-round employment is available as a part of our winter maintenance team.
Start date: March or early April 2021, dependent on the weather
Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour, dependent on experience and skill

Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide guidance to team members regarding daily duties
- Communicate with client and supervisor to ensure job satisfaction is achieved
- Follow planned landscaping designs to execute commercial landscape construction projects
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment
- Properly complete all required paperwork in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with company health and safety training and reporting requirements
- Required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- At minimum, a valid G license, but preference will be given to those with an AZ license. A clean driving record is also required
- Must be willing to work 40-50 hours per week and some weekends depending on work load
- Other duties may be assigned as required
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial landscape construction
- 5+ years’ experience operating various heavy equipment
- Prior experience in a leadership/foreperson role is preferred
- Knowledge of hardscape, softscape, carpentry, excavating, grading, drainage and snow removal
- Experience using equipment such as loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, excavators, dozers and other landscape tools and equipment
- Ability to read and follow construction drawings and plans
- Ability to consistently lift a minimum of 50lbs
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, as part of a team and follow instructions as given
- Must be safety conscious
- Skill to troubleshoot solutions when problems arise
- Excellent team player
- Great communication skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills
- Must be punctual and personable
- Will receive WHMIS and other compulsory Health and Safety training
